When families are caring for a child in the hospital, the last thing they should worry about is buying essential everyday items. At Ronald McDonald House Charleston, we provide the comforts, hygiene items, and nourishing snacks that make a challenging time a little easier — so family stays focused on what matters most: their child’s healing.
Every donated item directly offsets our operational costs, allowing us to stretch every dollar further in service of our mission.

Because many of the children served by our House are immune-compromised, we can only accept new, unused, and unopened items in their original packaging. We deeply appreciate your help in keeping our environment safe and clean for every family.
Organizing a collection drive is a powerful way to engage your school, workplace, neighborhood, or community group. By gathering essential supplies, your group directly supports families during their stay.
Either collect at your location and organize a drop-off at a House, or order from our Amazon Wish List and have the items be delivered.

Families often don’t have the time, funds, or energy to prepare a quick meal while traveling back and forth from the hospital and clinics. Our On – the – Go Meal Kit Program serves to meet the family’s nutritional needs. Additionally, these kits help us to expand our support to families beyond those staying at Ronald McDonald House Charleston. This is a great volunteer opportunity for large groups as they get together and assemble meals kits for families to use in their time of need.
